Here are some of the upcoming family friendly events that you can look forward to in the Grand Rapids area. June 30

Kids, Crafts and Critters

at Coopersville Farm Museum

375 Main Street

This is a short drive out to Coopersville, but it’s worth it if your family is filled with animal lovers! Here, they will be able to interact with different farm animals, take tractor rides, and explore the different exhibits inside of the museum. All ages can enjoy this event! It is free admission, but donations for the museum are encouraged.

July 2

Kids Day

at Maple Hill Golf Course

5555 Ivanrest Avenue

Every Sunday in the summer, the golf course is open to kids! With a $20 admission they will have access to golf, the driving range, mini golf, lunch, and equipment rental. It’s a great time to take advantage of the weather and have a day out on the course. It is best suited for children age 5 to 17.

July 7

Independence Day Celebration

in Downtown Grand Rapids

This is arguably one of the best fourth of July celebrations in Grand Rapids, but it happens on the 7th! It’s geared toward families and takes place in the Ah Nab Awen Park. From face painting to carnival games and crafts, there is a little something for everybody to enjoy here, and it starts at 5PM. There will be food trucks, talented local vendors, and live music through out the day. The fireworks show starts at 10:30PM, don’t miss it!

Fathers & Families Flag Football Tournament

at Martin Luther King Jr Park

This community event celebrates families and strengthens the community! It’s fun to be a spectator, but it’s even better to sign up and compete with your family. There will be other games and activities like a bounce house and mini train for the children to enjoy who aren’t participating. There will also be a live DJ and a barbecue.
