Last year I spent just over 5 months in Las Vegas for work, and during that time i took advantage of my new location and drank up just about every experience that there was in this crazy and super cool city. There is so much to discover about Vegas and for me it is the entertainment which is on offer here that I loved so much. My favorite type of show was that of Cirque du Soleil, the performance company which put on a wide range of shows, influenced by things like the Beatles, Michael Jackson, the Lion King and many other themes which they have picked.
This started for me when I saw deals on tickets to see O by Cirque du Soleil, so I decided to go on a whim. I was so blown away that I have now been to 10 events put on by the company, all truly special. If you are able to catch a show then here is what you can expect.
Gymnastics and modern dance interpretations is what is at the heart of these shows and the gymnastics and acrobatics on offer are absolutely outstanding. I can guarantee you that on at least 10 occasions you will have your heart in your mouth, as the prefers make these high flying, high risk moves which appear death defying. From trapezes to human structures, you will adore what these amazing individuals can do.
These shows are a real attack on the senses, they feature a wide range of music and light shows, with so much going on that it can be tough to know where to look. A show like this offers a kind of escapism because within 10 minutes you have no idea where you are, and you won’t care because the show will be that good. Lights, sounds, visual effects and flying acrobats, everything that you need at a live show is what you’;ll find at a Cirque du Soleil performance.
I have no idea of the science behind what we feel when we are watching a live show but after each of the performances which I saw I had a smile on my face for days afterwards. These shows are fascinating, interesting, mind blowing and incredibly impressive and they will get those endorphins flowing round your body and put a huge smile on your face.
Much of the reason why these shows are so special is because of the way that they have been written and designed. The shows take you through a rollercoaster of emotions which have been choreographed perfectly. Happiness quickly turns to misery and desolation before hope and joy is brought back to proceedings and you go through these emotions with the cast too.
Ultimately I would recommend these shows to anyone, whichever theme you like best, make sure that you find tickets and head out to watch these amazing performers do their thing.
