Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter melted
  • 1 apple peeled, cored, and grated
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, beaten egg, and melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the grated apple and cinnamon.
  4. Heat a griddle or frying pan over medium heat and lightly grease it. Pour ¼ cup of batter for each pancake onto the griddle.
  5. Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancakes and the edges look set, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
