Instructions 

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice, coconut milk, water, sugar, and salt.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes.
  6. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
