Beef and Guinness Stew

Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Beef Chuck cut into chunks
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 bottle Guinness Beer
  • 3 large Carrots cut into chunks
  • 3 large Potatoes cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 2 tablespoon Flour
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add beef chunks and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  2. 2. In the same pot, add chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened.
  3. 3. Stir in flour and tomato paste, cook for another minute.
  4. 4. Pour in beef broth and Guinness beer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pot.
  5. 5. Return beef to the pot, add carrots and potatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2-2.5 hours until beef is tender.
  6. 6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.
