Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Beef bones preferably with marrow
  • 1 Onion quartered
  • 2 Carrots chopped
  • 2 stalks Celery chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic smashed
  • 2 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Peppercorns
  • 1 gallon Water

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the beef bones on a baking sheet and roast for 30 minutes.
  2. 2. Transfer the roasted bones to a large pot. Add the onion, carrots, celery, garlic, apple cider vinegar, salt, peppercorns, and water.
  3. 3. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Let it cook for at least 8 hours, skimming off any foam that forms on the surface.
  4. 4. Strain the broth through a fine-mesh strainer and discard the solids. Let the broth cool, then refrigerate.
  5. 5. Once chilled, remove the solidified fat from the top. Reheat as needed and enjoy!
