Chakchouka Shakshouka Recipe
A delicious and easy-to-make North African dish featuring poached eggs in a spicy tomato and pepper sauce.

Main Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 0.5 teaspoon ground coriander
- 0.25 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 can diced tomatoes (400g)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 large eggs
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and bell peppers. Cook until softened.
Stir in minced garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, and chili powder. Cook for another minute.
Add diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Make small wells in the sauce and crack an egg into each well.
Cover the skillet and cook until eggs are set to your liking.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
