Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup corn kernels fresh or canned
  • 2 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together milk and egg. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  3. Fold in the corn kernels and chopped green onions.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the pan and flatten slightly.
  5. Cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve warm.
