  • 2 large Granny Smith apples peeled and cored
  • 2 cans crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can Mountain Dew soda

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and core the apples, then cut each apple into 8 wedges.
  3. Wrap each apple wedge in crescent roll dough and place in a baking dish.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Pour over the apple dumplings.
  5. Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the baking dish.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
