Ingredients

  • 2 cups Broccoli florets
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 small Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.
  2. 2. Add broccoli florets and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until broccoli is tender, about 10 minutes.
  3. 3. Transfer the mixture to a blender and blend until smooth. Return to the pot.
  4. 4. Stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste. Heat through but do not boil.
  5. 5. Serve hot, garnished with a drizzle of cream or a sprinkle of cheese if desired.
