Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dried elderberries
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 cup Honey
  • 1 piece Cinnamon stick
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1 teaspoon Cloves

Instructions 

  1. Combine elderberries, water, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Strain the mixture into a jar, discarding the solids.
  5. Add honey and stir well.
  6. Store in the refrigerator and use as needed.
