  • 2 cups water
  • 1 inch fresh ginger root, sliced
  • 1 inch fresh turmeric root, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice optional

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil.
  2. 2. Add sliced ginger and turmeric to the boiling water.
  3. 3. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Strain the tea into a teapot or directly into cups.
  5. 5. Add honey and lemon juice if desired. Serve hot.
