Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. Mix ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Shape into patties.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and sliced onions. Cook until onions are soft.
  4. Sprinkle flour over onions and stir well. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until gravy thickens.
  5. Return patties to the skillet, spoon gravy over them, and simmer for 10 minutes.
