Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup Bamboo shoots, julienned
  • 1 cup Firm tofu, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Chili paste
  • 1 teaspoon Ground white pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons Green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.
  2. 2. Add the mushrooms, bamboo shoots, tofu, soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili paste, and white pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. 3. Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until the soup thickens.
  4. 4. Slowly pour in the beaten egg while stirring the soup to create egg ribbons.
  5. 5. Remove from heat and add the green onions and sesame oil. Serve hot.
