Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs oxtail
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon browning sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon thyme dried
  • 1 teaspoon allspice ground
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 medium carrots sliced
  • 1 can butter beans drained
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Season oxtail with salt, pepper, and allspice.
  2. 2. Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Brown oxtail on all sides.
  3. 3. Add onion, garlic, thyme, browning sauce, and soy sauce. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. 4. Pour in beef broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2.5 hours.
  5. 5. Add carrots and butter beans. Cook for another 30 minutes.
  6. 6. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
