Main Ingredients
- 2 lbs oxtail
- 1 large onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoon browning sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon thyme dried
- 1 teaspoon allspice ground
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 medium carrots sliced
- 1 can butter beans drained
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
1. Season oxtail with salt, pepper, and allspice.
2. Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Brown oxtail on all sides.
3. Add onion, garlic, thyme, browning sauce, and soy sauce. Cook for 5 minutes.
4. Pour in beef broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2.5 hours.
5. Add carrots and butter beans. Cook for another 30 minutes.
6. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
