Liver and Onions Recipe
A classic dish featuring tender liver and sweet, caramelized onions.

Main Ingredients
- 1 lb beef liver sliced
- 2 large onions sliced into rings
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 4 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
1. In a shallow dish, mix flour, salt, and pepper. Dredge liver slices in the flour mixture.
2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes. Remove onions and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and olive oil. Cook the liver slices over medium heat until browned on both sides, about 3 minutes per side.
4. Return the onions to the skillet and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Serve hot.
