Ingredients

  • 8 oz Elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup Butter
  • ¼ cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Milk
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for about 1 minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Combine cheese sauce with cooked macaroni and mix well.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
