Pinto Beans with Mexican Style Seasonings

Main Ingredients
- 2 cups Pinto Beans dried
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
- 6 cups Water
1. Rinse and soak the pinto beans overnight.
2. Drain and rinse the beans.
3. In a large pot, add the beans and water. Bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours until beans are tender.
5. In a separate pan, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
6. Add the sautéed onion, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the beans. Stir well.
7. Simmer for another 15 minutes to blend the flavors. Serve hot.
