Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 lbs Pork Shoulder cut into chunks
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Oregano dried
  • 2 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Orange Juice freshly squeezed
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. 2. In a Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork shoulder chunks and sear on all sides until browned.
  3. 3. Add the salt, black pepper, oregano, cumin, minced garlic, orange juice, and chicken broth to the pot. Stir to combine.
  4. 4. Cover the Dutch oven and transfer it to the preheated oven. Cook for about 4 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
  5. 5. Remove the pot from the oven and shred the pork using two forks. Mix the shredded pork with the remaining juices in the pot.
  6. 6. Optional: For crispy edges, spread the shredded pork on a baking sheet and broil for a few minutes until the edges are crispy.
