Roasted Pork Banh Mi Recipe
This is a delicious Vietnamese sandwich with roasted pork, pickled vegetables, and fresh herbs.

- 1 lb pork shoulder
- 4 baguettes split lengthwise
- 1 cup carrot julienned
- 1 cup daikon radish julienned
- ¼ cup rice vinegar
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 cup cilantro fresh
- 1 jalapeño sliced
- ½ cup mayonnaise
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Season pork shoulder with salt and pepper. Place on a baking sheet and roast for 40 minutes, or until cooked through.
In a mixing bowl, combine carrot, daikon radish, rice vinegar, and sugar. Let sit for 15 minutes to pickle.
Once pork is done, let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing thinly.
Spread mayonnaise on each baguette. Layer with sliced pork, pickled vegetables, cilantro, and jalapeño.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
