Ingredients

  • 8 pieces Sea Scallops large, dry-packed
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper freshly ground

Instructions 

  1. Pat the scallops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  3. Add the scallops to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and opaque in the center.
  4. Add the butter to the skillet during the last minute of cooking and spoon over the scallops.
  5. Remove the scallops from the skillet and serve immediately.
