Shrimp Scampi with Pasta

Main Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
- 3 tablespoon butter
- 3 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- ½ cup dry white wine or chicken broth
- 1 whole lemon, juiced
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- to taste salt and pepper
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cook for about 1 minute.
3. Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper. Cook until shrimp turns pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
4. Pour in white wine (or chicken broth) and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and let it reduce by half, about 2 minutes.
5. Add cooked pasta and parsley to the skillet. Toss to combine. Serve immediately.
