Ingredients

  • 4 lbs Pork Shoulder
  • 1 cup Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • ½ cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine barbecue sauce, chopped onion, chicken broth, brown sugar, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. 3. Pour the mixture over the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.
  4. 4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
  5. 5. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  6. 6. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix it with the sauce. Serve hot.
