  • 4 fillets Catfish
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • ½ cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  2. 2. Dip catfish fillets in buttermilk, then coat with the cornmeal mixture.
  3. 3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  4. 4. Fry the catfish fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. 5. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
