Main Ingredients
- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully remove leaves from cabbage and blanch in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until pliable. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Place a small amount of meat mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf. Fold in sides and roll up.
In a separate bowl, mix together tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar.
Spread a thin layer of sauce mixture on the bottom of a baking dish. Place cabbage rolls seam-side down in the dish. Pour remaining sauce over the rolls.
Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
