Main Ingredients
- 1 cup glutinous rice
- 1 ½ cups coconut milk
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 pieces ripe mangoes peeled and sliced
1. Rinse the glutinous rice until the water runs clear. Soak it in water for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
2. Drain the rice and steam it in a steamer for about 20-25 minutes until cooked.
3. While the rice is cooking, heat the coconut milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the sugar and salt, stirring until dissolved. Do not let it boil.
4. Once the rice is done, transfer it to a bowl and pour in the coconut milk mixture. Stir well and let it sit for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
5. Serve the sticky rice with sliced mango on top. Enjoy!
